Demetrius “Hook” Mitchell of Oakland, California, also known as Wally Abdur-Rahim, was a prominent streetballer before he fell into the wrong crowd and landed in prison. Many notable NBA stars, including Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, and Brian Shaw, consider him to be the best basketball player never to make the NBA. They even consider him to be better than themselves. He’d give Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar a run for their money if he didn’t fall.
